The Best in the Southwest BBQ Competition took place this saturday, February 29th at the Yuma, Arizona Historic Downtown.

29 teams competed for the Grand Champion title in a KCBS sanctioned competition, cooking  up on the four protein categories: Ribs, Chicken, Brisket and Pork. The winner and Grand Champion of the Best In The Southwest Competition was the team of BIG POPPA SMOKER’s with an overall score of 694.2516 points. The Reserve Grand Champions were BURNIN’ AND LOOTIN’ with an overall score of 692.4912 points.
